Is there a setup fee?
Only if you need a phone number: a one-time $49, once per business. The AI Receptionist comes with a number, so it's charged at signup. Review Manager and marketing only need one for automatic texts, so if you stick to email you never pay it.
Is there a contract?
No. Onset is month to month. Cancel from your dashboard in two clicks, any time.
What happens when I cancel?
Your services keep running until the end of the month you've paid for, then stop. We don't charge cancellation fees.
Do I need to be good with computers?
No. Setup is a short form for each service, and we finish the technical parts for you.
Will callers know it's an AI?
Yes. The receptionist says so at the start of each call, and that the call may be recorded. Being upfront keeps you on the right side of state laws.
What if I go over a limit?
Receptionist minutes over your plan (150, 500 or 1,200) are $0.25 each, added to your next invoice, or you can choose in Setup to turn the receptionist off at your limit instead. Each call rounds up to the next minute. Texts over 500 are paused until next month unless you choose to add more. We warn you at 80%.
Can I keep my phone number?
Yes. You forward calls to your Onset line when you're busy or after hours, so your number stays the same.
Why does texting need registration?
US carriers require every business that sends texts through software to register. We file it for you. It's covered by the one-time $49 setup fee, and the monthly carrier fee is included in your subscription.
Can I choose who gets review requests?
Every customer gets one. Google doesn't allow filtering who is asked, and the FTC fines businesses for fake or bought reviews.
Who owns the content and website?
You do. Posts, articles and site copy we make for you are yours to keep, even if you leave.
Can I add services later?
Yes, any time, from Billing in your dashboard. You're only charged the difference for the rest of the month.
Is my information safe?
Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card number. Read our privacy policy.
